Mary Malone
Instructor, RYT
Mary first started practicing hot yoga as a high schooler and loved simply learning to breathe.
Following graduation, she lived in india for 6 months where she deepened the meaning behind her practice and fell in love with the spiritual aspects of yoga. Practicing in India helped her build self compassion, seeing that every part (even the messy ones) of her work together as one.
Over the past 6 years she’s taught meditation, restorative yoga, vinyasa flow, and vinyasa krama yoga.
As one of her favorite quotes goes, “There is a space between stimulus and response and in that space is our power to choose our response, and in our response lies our growth and our freedom”
For Mary, yoga is the embodiment of a big giant pause that allows us to explore the connection we have with ourselves, others, and the universe.
In her classes you can expect to find a joyful practice with intentional playfulness that meets you where you’re at. She anchors her classes with radical acceptance and a deep connection between heart, mind, and body
Mary is in her final year at Point Park majoring in Social Justice and Women and Gender Studies.
Outside of the studio you can find Mary giggling with friends, tutoring middle schoolers, backpacking around the world and digesting new ideas.
