Meet 

Catie Shields

Instructor, RYT 200

Catie first started practicing yoga regularly in college, after a particularly trying semester. During

a transformative practice, it all seemed to click. Her mind and body synced and it unlocked a

new level of her yoga practice. She loved moving through the postures, letting her breath be the

guiding force. It helped her feel her best both mentally and physically.

After moving back to Pittsburgh, a friend took her to a yoga class at the Om Lounge. One class

in and Catie knew she had found her new studio. Her practice began to flourish and she knew

she wanted to continue to build on her yoga journey and completed her 200 hour teacher

training at the Om Lounge.

Catie’s classes blend fun, dynamic flows with a sense of mindfulness and exploration. Whether

you’re seeking a challenge or looking to unwind, her approach creates space for everyone to

find their own sweet spot, where mind and body connect. She believes yoga is a tool to help us

feel good on and off the mat.

Off the mat, Catie works as a financial analyst. She loves to take walks to her local coffee shop,

laze around with a good book, and try out new restaurants around Pittsburgh.
